Ciena had only weeks to transition their planned in-person sales and marketing conference into a virtual weeklong event in the wake of Covid restrictions.

I was brought on board to write the banners, landing page, email nurtures and teaser videos to drive registrations, build awareness and excitement, and ultima the event as a springboard from which 'Colties' could understand the company's renewed vision and purpose for the coming years.

Virtual event for market leader in RFP software
The client:
Developer of cloud-based strategic management response software
The brief:
In 2021, Responsive were determined not only to hold their first ever virtual user conference, but also that it should set a whole new standard for conferences, something their competitors would aspire to. Yet with Covid restrictions precluding the physical experience of attending a conference, comms had never been more critical.
I worked closely with the Comms team to ensure RISE UP 2021 would showcase Responsive's brand and business evolution, demonstrate their commitment to their customers, and reframe the benefits of optimising proposal response within their own organisations—all while resonating with the needs, desires and challenges of the multiple personas comprising the audience.
We couldn't have asked for more in bringing together 1,200 presales and proposal professionals to unlock their potential and explore the future of response management—thank you!
